U2 Back In The U.S.A.

U2 kicked off the second North American leg to their 30th anniversary tour celebrating their 1987 classic album, The Joshua Tree, on Sunday night (September 3rd) at Detroit’s Ford Field. The band peppered the 21-song show with snippets of tunes from Simon & Garfunkel, the Rolling Stones, and David Bowie — with Patti Smith guesting on a version of her 1988 favorite, “People Have The Power.” The band’s nine-date stadium run wraps on September 22nd at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.
