Fleetwood Mac‘s two newest members — the Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Crowded House‘s frontman Neil Finn — took the stage for the first time together on Thursday night (May 3rd) at L.A.’s Largo at the Coronet. During the gig, which was actually by Finn and his son Liam, Campbell took to the stage to perform Peter Green‘s early-Fleetwood Mac classic “Man Of The World,” along with a cover of David Bowie‘s “Moonage Daydream.” Ultimate Classic Rock reported at one point someone in the crowd shouted out a “Free Bird”-esque request for “Go Your Own Way,” to which Finn answered: “I should be ready to start it up by now. Just you wait.”
Also appearing during the Finn’s set was longtime Prince & The Revolution guitarist Wendy Melvoin. Finn and 34-year-old Liam, are wrapping production on a new joint album, which will be released this summer.
