Ron Howard believes Han Solo is all of the Beatles in one

Ron Howard says that the legendary Star Wars hero Han Solo is essentially all four Beatles wrapped up into one. Howard directed the new movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opens on Friday (May 25th). He chatted with Yahoo Movies UK and since he also directed the “Fab Four’s” 2016 Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years doc, he was asked “. . . if Han Solo was a Beatle, which would he be?” Howard said, “Oh, wow. That’s interesting. He might be a bit of all of them. I see Ringo Starr‘s swagger and sense of humor and irreverence. Paul McCartney’s willingness to put himself out there, the desire to connect with people and wanting to be part of something. Bit of John Lennon‘s intelligence and sense of cynicism about it all.”

Howard went on to say: “And when he gets behind the stick of the Falcon, there was even a line in the script that said ‘When Han starts flipping the switches and flying it’s like Eric Clapton finding his dream guitar’ so you could say the same thing about George Harrison and his connection with what he loves. He’s the Beatles! Han Solo is The Beatles! I wonder if George Lucas knew he was doing that?”
