Warner Brothers says no to Harry Potter Fan Fests

Aurora, maybe you should do a “Willow” fest this year instead.  Warner Brothers doesn’t want anyone doing fan festivals in honor of their hit franchise, Harry Potter.  Warner Bros sent out cease and desist orders to fan fests around the country in an effort that they might see as protecting the band while others view it as black magic.  Fans have compared the studio’s actions to that of series antagonists, Voldemort and The Dursleys.  The very social-media-active Harry Potter Creator, J.K. Rowling, has yet to comment on the crackdown as of writing this article.

Just last year, Warner Brothers OK’ed Aurora’s “Downtown Aurora Magic,” which celebrated everything Harry Potter.  The event took place and the suburb granted “a Hogwarts Experience,” for a day.  If the big HP is off the table, Aurora, you might even want to consider a festival for the fantasy film, Legend
