To kick off celebrations at The Taste of Chicago, the Chicago-based Buona Beef made, what they hope to be, the world’s longest beef sandwich. As of writing this article, Buona Beef have already made the 109 foot long sandwich that they and submitted the statistics of the 75 pound behemoth to RecordSetter. The world record tracker site will determine whether or not our local beef company have succeeded.
What of the massive sandwich? Buona’s volunteers cut it up and served it at the Cornerstone Community Outreach Shelter. Even if this isn’t the world’s longest beef sandwich, Buona is a winner in my book.
