‘Almost Famous’ is the latest movie to get the Broadway Musical treatment

The 2000 film about a 1970’s band is headed for Broadway.  Almost Famous is being turned into a stage musical.  Cameron Crowe, who wrote the film script, is teaming up with “High Fidelity,” and “Bring It On” composer, Tom Kitt.

Almost Famous starred Billy Crudup, Frances McDormandKate Hudson and Jason Lee.  It was based on the director/writers real-life experiences with rock bands Poco, the Allman Brothers Band, Led ZeppelinEagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
