AT&T for the first time will ban customers for piracy

The internet titan is fed up with customers who won’t play by the rules.  AT&T will be banning some repeat offenders of piracy from using their service.  Users of AT&T’s internet service who have committed an act of piracy may already know that the company contacts customers when someone reports an infringement of copyright against them.  Rather than charging the offenders, AT&T will issue a warning and offer alternative sources to view or listen to similar content legally.

Apparently, some didn’t take the memo seriously and they are on a short list who will no longer be able to use AT&T’s internet service.  The company has made it clear in public statements that these people know who they are.  I hope it’s not you!
