Three versions of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” are climbing the charts

Despite the controversy, several versions of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” are seeing an increase in sales and streaming numbers.

They include Dean Martin’s take from 1959, and the 2014 version from Idinia Menzel and Michael Buble.

These were the three largest gainers of ANY songs on “Billboard’s” latest Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, with Dean’s version jumping from #23 to #2.  It hasn’t been this high since it went to #1 in 2011.

Overall, it jumped 257%.  Idina and Michael jumped 165%, and Zooey and Leon saw a 130% increase.

Several versions have also seen an increase in streaming, including Dean Martin, Idina and Michael, and a 2016 version by Brett Eldredge and Meghan Trainor.
