It’s back to the drawing board for Amazon, who recently decided to bring their 2nd Headquarters to New York. It seems that the people of the Big Apple weren’t too welcoming to the internet giant and Amazon did not want to deal with them.
New York’s Mayor de Blasio was reported saying, “You have to be tough to make it in New York City. We gave Amazon the opportunity to be a good neighbor and do business in the greatest city in the world. Instead of working with the community, Amazon threw away that opportunity.”
Chicago was long in the running for Amazon HQ 2 and it is possible that the Windy City might find itself playing host in the near future.
