Would you buy a 5-pack of random movies on VHS tapes for 40 bucks?

Urban Outfitters has been selling vintage tech for a while, stocking things like vinyl records, which have been making a comeback, and Polaroid cameras, and now it’s dipping into that pre-DVD, pre-streaming relic: the VHS tape. Urban Outfitters is selling five-packs of VHS movies from the 1990s in the categories of comedy, horror, science fiction and romance, with the sets going for the not-cheap price of $40.

Buyers don’t even know which movies they’ll get, with the online product description reading: “Each set is unique, iconic and will vary from what is pictured here. Don’t worry – there are no duds in this batch!” Mashable notes, however, that unless you still have a working VCR, you might have a hard time viewing the VHS tapes, since the last company that was still making VCRs stopped doing so in 2016.
