Dyeing of the Chicago River
March 16th (9AM)
Chicago River between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive
Line up along the river and watch it go from green to greener!  If you miss the dyeing, the river will be green for 24 to 48 hours.

St. Paddy’s Day 5K & 8K Run/Walk
March 16th
Lincoln Park
This 5K and 8K run/walk invites participants to wear costumes and win prizes.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 16th (noon)
Chicago
This free holiday parade marches north on Columbus Drive from Balbo to Monroe.

Northwest Side Irish Parade
March 17th (noon)
Begins at Onahan School in Chicago
This festive parade will include a family dinner afterwards.  Tickets are available for the afterparty and the parade is free.

South Side Irish Parade
March 17th (noon)
In Chicago on Western Avenue
This free parade on the south side goes south from 103rd to 115th Street.

Sugar Bush Fair
March 16th – 17th
Schaumburg
A sweet fest that features a pancake breakfast and all the maple syrup you can eat!

Orchid Show
Through March 24th
Chicago Botanic Garden
See 10,000 orchids bloom at throughout this event.  Bring your cameras and even check out the cocktail tasting on March 13th.

Chicagoland Family Pet Expo
March 15th – 17th
Arlington Park Racetrack in Arlington Heights
Despite the name, do not bring your pets to this expo; rather bring home the latest gifts, tips and tricks to your pet.
