The Beatles‘ “White Album” will be saluted this year by some of rock’s coolest talents. Roger Friedman‘s nearly always accurate Showbiz411.com reported that a tour is in the works to feature the 1968 double album performed in its entirety by the Monkees‘ Micky Dolenz, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Badfinger‘s Joey Molland, and former-Chicago bassist Jason Scheff.
Friedman posted that the tour dates were expected to come this week, adding, “The ‘White Album’ won’t take up two hours, so it’s hoped they will supplement with some of their own songs. Nice line-up, look for lots of bald spots in the audience. We will be out in force!”
