This year’s Illinois State Fair butter cow debuts

The Illinois State Fair kicks off today and to celebrate, the state has unveiled their annual butter cow.  A tradition that’s been around for nearly 100 years, the butter cow statue always signifies the celebration.  This year’s cow was sculpted from 800 pounds of recycled butter and sports a construction helmet to signifies, “Building Our Future.”  You can check out the sculpture at the fair today through August 18th.
