Smartwatch that sounds an alarm every time you slump at your desk is being developed

Slouching is a very bad habit. Now German scientists are developing a smartwatch that will alert the wearer every time they slouch. The user would wear sensors under clothes and inside their shoes that can monitor angular velocity, which is the rate of change of angular position of a rotating body. It would then compare that data to other body data and determine if the person was slouching. The project is still in the early phases of development, but the hope is it could one day benefit millions of people by helping prevent lower back pain.
