RUMOR: Guns N’ Roses working on a song for the new ‘Terminator’ movie

A Guns N’ Roses fan site called Guns Over Oz claims that the band has been approached to write and record a new song for the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate, the latest in the long-running series about an ongoing war between humans and cyborgs.

The site explained, “A source who was working on Terminator: Dark Fate has informed that four members of Guns N’ Roses went to a private viewing of a rough copy of the upcoming Arnold Schwarzenegger sequel movie to see if they want to put a song on the soundtrack.”

The report added, “Apparently, Slash was at Axl’s house to record overdubs on a song for the rush release. At this point the song name is unknown. But yes 100% verified. Guns N’ Roses new music.”

Ever since Axl, Slash and Duff McKagan reunited in 2016 as Guns N’ Roses, rumors have been circulating that new music from the band — the first to feature the three founding members since 1993 — could be in the works. Slash, McKagan and other members of the touring lineup have also hinted at the possibility of a new LP.

The classic Guns track “You Could Be Mine” was used as the theme song for the second film in the series, 1991’s Terminator: Judgment Day, and was released as the first single from the band’s double-album Use Your Illusion set that same year.
