Despite the recent cancer reports, Eddie Van Halen appears looking happy and fit in a new photo on social media. Blabbermouth reported the guitarist was photographed on Saturday (October 19th) hugging Sue Dion, and receptionist at Beverly Hills’ O’Gara Group, a high-end auto dealer renowned for selling such brands as Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Rolls-Royce, among others.

Dion posted on her Instagram account:

I’ve had a bad week, so please indulge me in this gushing post. I love my job. I love the cars, I love my co-workers and I love the clients. Admittedly, I’ve had more than my share of cool things that I’ve done in my life.”

Co-worker: ‘Sue, today you got to make out with a rockstar.’ Yes… I…did! Today will forever be the day I kissed… Eddie Van Halen!! My mom wouldn’t let me go see them when I was 14, so it only took 35 years for the universe to right that wrong. Absolutely the sweetest guy–still with that twinkle in his eye. I told him that today he made me the coolest kid in high school. Never in my… wildest… dreams. Eddie, you have no idea how much you made my day. Thank you for just being you.

The new photo comes on the heels of a TMZ report that Van Halen is once again undergoing cancer treatment. Van Halen, who was treated for tongue cancer from 2000 to 2002, had more cancerous growths on his tongue and throat removed back in 2011.

According to the website’s source: “Eddie was diagnosed nearly 20 years ago. Sources with direct knowledge tell us over the years there were times some of the cancer cells migrated down to his throat, and doctors would scrape them out. Our sources say, ‘Eddie has flown to Germany for five years to get radiation treatment, and for the most part it’s worked to keep the disease in check. As for his current condition, there are lots of rumors, but people who know him say he’s seems to be doing okay — at least on the surface.'”
