Weekends

Here are the BEST and WORST days for flying over the holidays

A trade group for the airline industry put together a guide of the best and worst days for flying this holiday season.  The days when the fewest other people will be flying are basically just the holidays themselves:  Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

The worst days to fly are the weekend before Christmas and the two days after:  Friday, December 20th . . . Saturday, December 21st . . . Thursday, December 26th . . . and Friday, December 27th.

Overall, approximately 47.5 MILLION people will fly in the U.S. between next Thursday, December 19th and Sunday, January 5th.  That’s up 3% from last year, and it means 884 more flights per day than last year!
