Gaynor's Restaurant and Irish Pub is hosting its 3rd annual St. Baldrick's Fundraising Event. The St. Baldrick's Foundation supports childhood cancer research. During the event volunteers will be shaving their heads in return for pledges of financial support. For those who do not want to shave their heads, there will be a silent auction and raffles. Route 66 will be providing the entertainment for the day. There will be clowns for the kids, and celebrity appearances and signings. So bring the family out and show your support. St. Joseph School Fundraiser Benefit Ball (Benefit/Fundraiser)

St. Joseph School in Summit will be hosting a benefit ball fundraiser on March 20, 2010 at the Mayfield Banquet Hall, 6072 S. Archer Ave. in Chicago. The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, raffle drawing for a 40 inch HD television, dancing with a deejay, dinner and cocktails. Cocktails will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7:15 p.m. Benefit Ball tickets cost $50 each until February 27 and $70 thereafter. Tables of 10 are available for $450 until February 27 and $550 thereafter. Tickets can be purchased at the school office, 5641 S. 73rd Ave., Summit, Mon – Fri, 8 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. or the rectory, 7240 W. 57th St., Summit, Mon – Fri, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in person.
