Brant Miller has been entertaining the Chicago radio audience for over 30 years.
He is currently doing weather forecasts on 94.7 WLS-FM, Monday through Friday. He previously worked at WLS from 1977 to 1991, and again from 2008 to 2010. During his tenure, he hosted and produced many of the Music People specials, which featured most of the artists played on the station today. His love of rock & roll has spanned a lifetime.
Brant is familiar to the Chicago audience through his work in Radio as well as Television. Miller is currently the Chief Meteorologist at NBC 5 in Chicago and is seen weekdays on the 4:30, 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts. Miller has been with NBC5 News since 1991.
As a private pilot, Miller has integrated his expertise in aviation weather and meteorological studies at Oregon State and Mississippi State Universities. He has received the American Meteorology Society Seal of Approval (AMS), the National Weather Association Seal of Approval (NWA) and the coveted Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval (CBM) for his Television and Radio forecasts.
Miller is the recipient of 12 Chicago Emmy Awards for his work with "The Storm Trackers", News for Kids, and NBC 5 for Kids, The Chicago Auto Show and the Chicago Marathon. In addition, Miller has twice received the Illinois Broadcasters Association's First Place Silver Dome Award for Weather. Miller continues to support the March of Dimes' Fight for Healthier Babies, as well as other children's functions and charities.
Miller and his wife Lisa have two sons and reside in the northern suburbs. Brant is also an avid gardener, "tinkerer" and home repair aficionado.
