Welcome to 94.7 WLS-FM, Chicago’s True Oldies and WLS 890AM (Talk). WLS-AM, a 50,000-watt radio giant with an issue-oriented talk radio format including news headlines, local issues, pop culture, entertainment and more. All the top talk radio hosts are here, including, Don Wade & Roma, Cisco Cotto, Rush Limbaugh, Roe Conn and Sean Hannity. Over 85 years of broadcasting! 94.7FM is now WLS-FM, all your favorite oldies and classic hits of all time. Chicago’s greats are here, including, Dave Fogel, Scott Shannon, Greg Brown and Dick Biondi! EOE/AA Objective: Assist in daily activities of the WLS-AM 890 and WLS-FM 94.7, Station Promotions Department and beyond, which include, coordinating and working on-site events, interacting with other interns and promotions staff, managing the prize closet, mailing out prizes and assisting staff with other miscellaneous duties. Attention to detail, a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard are a must! Requirements: • Must have the ability to work both during the week for office hours, but mostly nights and weekends out of office at events/promotional locations. • Must be a college student, receiving school credit for this internship. • Must be able to lift 20+ pounds, load and unload station vehicles and so on. • Must be available to work a variable 15+ hours per week. • Must be able to interact with others without conflict. • Must have a strict work ethic. • Must have knowledge and working ability in Microsoft Office and on the Internet. Photoshop/Illustrator experience is a bonus. Hours: • 15-20 hours per week, including some nights and weekends. Plus one day per week in the office (office hours) for a period of 4 hours.
