Weekdays, 4 – 8pm

Bio
Joining the lineup at 94.7 WLS is one of Chicago radio’s biggest stars. Robert Murphy burst on the Chicago scene in 1983 at Q101, and quickly made a name for himself as one of the most popular voices on Chicago radio. One of the craziest, too. Yes that was him in the strait jacket in commercials on TV, billboards, and the back ends of CTA busses. Over the years he has established himself as one of Chicago’s most enduring radio personalities at several stations, before landing here at 94.7 WLS, where he takes the wheel for “The Ride Home” from 4-8pm.

Murph lives on Chicago’s near north side, walks his dog in Lincoln Park, and thoroughly enjoys all that the Chicago lifestyle can offer. On weekends he gets away to his log cabin in NW Michigan in the Manistee National Forest.

He is an avid reader, a decent guitar player, a vintage car enthusiast, and a big fan of football – “Da Bears” and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Take a ride with Robert Murphy on the Ride Home, this afternoon at 4.
