You won’t be seeing a movie about Sting anytime soon

Music biopics are all the rage these days, but there’s one guy who won’t be getting that treatment.  Sting was asked if he’d ever allow one to be made about him, and he said, quote, “Absolutely not.  I just don’t think I want to.  I’m telling my story in an artistic way.”

What he’s talking about is a musical he wrote called, “The Last Ship.”  It ran on Broadway in 2014, and it’s currently playing a theater in Los Angeles.  It’s based on Sting’s childhood in a working class ship-building town in Northern England.

Guess we’ll have to stick to Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody in the meantime…
