‘Fall Foliage Map’ says Chicago expected to see leaves hit peak color change on this October date

Thanks to SmokyMountains.com, we can get an idea when the leaves on the trees in our yards will go from green to red, brown and orange.  The website releases a yearly interactive “Fall Foliage Map” that predicts the annual leave color changes for the entire country.

Scrolling through the dates, you’ll find that the northern half of Illinois reaches peak foliage change after October 12th and by October 19th.  So, be ready by the 19th to take some beautiful pictures of Fall in Chicago!
