Duran Duran topped the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan vote by A LOT

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame closed their fan ballot on Friday and the results are in!  Duran Duran came in first by a landslide!  They got 250,000 more votes than the runner-up…

But remember: Winning the fan ballot doesn’t guarantee Rock Hall induction.  The top five artists will go on a “Fans’ Ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2022 inductees.

Here are the Top 5:

1.  Duran Duran — 934,880 votes

2.  Eminem — 684,237 votes

3.  Pat Benatar — 631,299 votes

4.  Eurythmics — 442,271 votes

5.  Dolly Parton — 393,796 votes

The official Class of 2022 inductees will be announced sometime this month, with a ceremony in the fall.  In related news, Dolly has changed her mind about possibly being in the Rock Hall.  She said if voted in, she will, quote, “accept gracefully.”
