VIDEO: Paul McCartney And Muse Perform Beatles Classics

Paul McCartney performed impromptu renditions of his Beatles classics “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Helter Skelter” on Tuesday night (January 16th) with members of the Muse. Billboard posted that “Macca” hopped up on stage with Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band — a “just for fun” super-group featuring Muse’s singer Matt Bellamy, drummer Dominick Howard, along with vocalist Miles Kane of the Last Shadow Puppets. The band was performing at L.A.’s S.I.R. Studios at the unveiling of Stella McCartney‘s 2018 fashion collection dubbed, “Stella-chella.”

On hand at the event was fellow former Beatle Ringo Starr and wife Barbra Bach. Other high-profile guests included Kate Hudson, mom Goldie Hawn, Katy Perry, along with Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin, Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, Ava Phillippe, and Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson.

“Helter Skelter” was inspired by a review McCartney had read describing the Who‘s “I Can See For Miles” as being among the loudest and raunchiest recordings ever committed to tape. The 1968 “White Album” classic has become one of the highlights of Paul McCartney’s recent tours — thanks to his band persuading him to finally include in their setlists.
