Boston Dynamics has released video showing that the latest version of its unnerving animal-like SpotMini robots can now open doors. The video shows one four-legged, dog-like robot using an arm it releases to open a door, allowing another robot to go through before following it.
SpaceX and Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk warned about things to come when Boston Dynamics showed off what was its latest robot in November, tweeting, “This is nothing. In a few years, that bot will move so fast you’ll need a strobe light to see it.” Musk has repeatedly called for governments around the world to regulate artificial intelligence and robotics, warning that he believes AI could start World War Three.
