Opening game for not just the Cubs, but the MLB will be played against the Marlins this month. On March 29th, the Chicago Cubs will kick off their season in Miami with pitcher Jon Lester on the mound. Lester had a 13-8 record in 32 starts last season, averaging about one strikeout per inning with the team.
The Cubs first home game will be April 9th against The Pittsburgh Pirates.
