Former Chicago Department of Aviation employee James Long is suing the City of Chicago and United Airlines. The former officer claims that he was not trained to handle the situation that transpired, when Dr. David Dao was forcibly dragged out of his airline seat so that a United Airlines employee could board the flight.
Long claims he was wrongfully terminated and accuses city aviation commissioner Ginger Evans of slander when she claimed, :the officers had behaved inappropriately and were not armed ‘for good reasons.'” Long’s attorney claims he was doing his duty in the time of the infamous incident and its the City of Chicago’s fault for a lack of training.
