The Boy Scouts of America are changing their name

The Boy Scouts of America has invited girls to join; so inevitably that requires a name change.  In February, the program opened its doors to girls in an attempt to increase numbers.  The movement, with the slogan “Scout Me In!” gained 3,000 new members.

Holding onto it’s abbreviation, the new name for the scouts will be, “Scouts BSA.”  The name change will be enacted in February of next year.  BSA is all over scouting apparel already so Eagles won’t have to replace their neckerchiefs.
