Who knew there was a pyramid in Illinois? Authorities say the Gold Pyramid House in Wadsworth that doubles as a tourist attraction was severely damaged by fire on Tuesday afternoon (July 17th.) An elderly man in a wheelchair and his dog were trapped inside. Officials say no humans were hurt, but the dog died, and that the fire wasn’t suspicious. The strange house was built in 1977 as a private residence, but as since opened for public tours. A 55-foot-tall statue of Ramses II stands guard out front.
