Starting in August, you will be able to take a tour of the same prison that held Joliet Jake. The Old Joliet Prison will open its doors to the public with walking tours of the facility that held Illinois miscreants for 144 years. The old building has been a target of vandals for years, but now the Joliet Area Historical Museum‘s intends on making the the old prison a destination you’ll want to check out.
