It was a record summer for air travel

Protests and weather couldn’t keep people out of the skies.  Labor Day weekend at the airports ended a record summer air travel season. Some 16.5 million people flew during the week from last Wednesday through today (September 3rd), according to theDallas Morning News, which is up 3.5 percent over the same week last year and is also a record. Air travel is hitting highs for the year overall, with 20 of the 25 busiest days at U.S. airports so far in 2018, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays still to come.
