95-year-old World War II veteran sets record as world’s oldest scuba diver

95-year-old British Royal Navy veteran who served during World War Two has set a record as the world’s oldest scuba diver. Ray Woolley has been an avid scuba diver for 58 years, and after setting the record last year for being the world’s oldest scuba diver, he broke his own record this past Saturday (September 1st). Woolley dived for 44 minutes at a depth of 133 feet off the coast of Cyprus, where he currently lives. He joined a group other divers to explore a cargo ship wreck. Woolley told The Telegraph he hopes to be able to break his own record again next year.
