Blondie will chart the progression of its 1979 chart-topper “Heart Of Glass” with the October 26th release of BLONDIE: Heart Of Glass. Rolling Stone reported the EP, which will be available as a deluxe 12-inch EP and on all digital formats, includes “an instrumental rendition of the song, an extended version, a mix by DJ Shep Pettibone, a 1975 recording when it was still called ‘The Disco Song’ and a 1978 attempt where they labeled it ‘Once I Had A Love.'”
The band also announced the fall 2019 box set release of BLONDIE: The Complete Studio Recordings 1975-1982, which collects the band’s earliest demos up through Blondie’s final album before they split.
Blondie comes to Chicago next month when she performs at Riot Fest in Douglas Park on September 16th.
