Arizona meat packing plant JBS Tolleson yesterday (October 4th) recalled more than 6.5 million pounds of beef after a salmonella outbreak that sickened 57 people in 16 states. An investigation found that the products responsible, including ground beef and beef patties, likely came from the company, and was shipped to retailers nationwide, including Walmart. Fourteen people had to be hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported. The beef was sold under the names Cedar River Farms, ComNor Perfect Choice, Gourmet Burger, Grass Run Farms, Showcase at Walmart and in generic packaging.
