Lindsey Buckingham releases triple disc solo comp & kicks off major solo trek

Out today (October 5th) is Lindsey Buckingham‘s triple-disc solo career retrospective Solo Anthology: The Best Of Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham, who was fired from Fleetwood Mac back in April, launches his major North American solo trek on October 7th at Portland, Oregon’s Revolution Hall and will stay on the road a full eight weeks until the tour wraps on December 9th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Sands Event Center. Solo Anthology is available as a three-disc set, digitally — and as a single-disc scaled down release. A six-LP vinyl release is slated for November 23rd.

Among the Buckingham favorites on the set are “Trouble,” “Go Insane,” “Holiday Road,” and “Countdown,” along with key tracks from all his studio albums — Law And Order, Go Insane, Out Of The Cradle, Under The Skin, Gifts Of Screws, and Seeds We Sow. A third bonus disc features 2011 live renditions of such Fleetwood Mac classics as “Never Going Back Again,” “Big Love,” “Tusk,” “I’m So Afraid,” and “Go Your Own Way.” Also included are two previously unreleased songs — “Hunger” and “Ride This Road.”

Lindsey Buckingham performs at Chicago’s Athenaeum Theater on Wednesday October 17th.
