Kiss has finally announced the initial North American dates of their hand on the their hearts, absolute, final farewell world tour, dubbed “End Of The Road.” The 44-date North American arena leg kicks off on January 31st at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and runs through April 13th when the band plays Birmingham, Alabama’s BJCC. Additional dates and territories will soon be announced. The current lineup of Kiss features co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons along with drummer Eric Singer and guitarist Tommy Thayer.
The band issued a joint statement describing the globe trotting trek, which will signal the band’s long goodbye after 45 years together, saying, “All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. Kiss Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”
So far there has been no official word on whether co-founders Ace Frehley and Peter Criss — along with later members Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick — will appear at select shows with the band.
