The Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, arrives in theaters this weekend and it’s already tracking to do very well at the box office. The film starring Rami Malek (of Mr. Robot fame) is already expected to bring in over $35 million on it’s debut. $17.50 of that if mine (I’m seeing it Friday in IMAX before my show).
Though Bohemian Rhapsody releases the same weekend as a Disney film and a new movie by Tyler Perry, neither seem to be a threat to the music biopic. Disney’s “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” and Tyler Perry’s R-rated “Nobody’s Fool” are not expected to break 30 million on their debuts.
