Less than a year after a bankrupt Toys R Us closed its U.S. stores and former Toys R Us kids across the country tearfully said goodbye to their childhoods, it looks like the iconic toy chain is coming back!
A former executive of the company, Richard Barry, is CEO of the new entity formed out of the ashes of Toys R Us, called Tru Kids Inc. He told The Associated Press that the brand should be back by the holiday season, and they’re looking at options such as freestanding stores and shops within existing stores. I can’t wait to be a Toys R Us Kid again!
