Amazon and Whole Foods Market, which the former bought the latter in 2017, have announced a new round of price cuts on hundreds of items at Whole Foods that will go into effect on Wednesday (April 3rd). Prices will be reduced by an average of 20 percent on select items throughout the stores, with a focus on produce.
Prime members will also get deeper discounts and twice the number of exclusive deals for them. Prices were cut on the first day after Amazon acquired Whole Foods, but a Wall Street Journal report this past February said that prices had been raised on hundreds of products.
