Illinois ranked worst state for taxes

WalletHub has arranged all 50 states and the District of Columbia into a list that puts Illinois at the very bottom.  This is their “2019 Tax Rates by State” list.  It arranges states based on factors including ‘Annual State & Local Taxes on median households’ and the % difference between state taxes and U.S. Average.  Alaska ranked number one, having state taxes over 47% lower than the U.S. average.  Illinois on the other hand was 38.51% higher than the national average.  You can see where other states ranked below or check out in full detail what put Illinois so low at WalletHub.com.
