After launching free two-day delivery for Amazon Prime customers more than a decade ago, Amazon announced yesterday (April 25th) that it’s moving to make one-day shipping the standard for Prime. Amazon CFO Brian Olsavsky revealed the news on a conference call with analysts, saying, “We feel like we are doing something very important for the customer.”
Olsavsky didn’t give a time frame for when free one-day shipping will become the Prime customer standard, but said they expect to, quote, “make steady progress quickly and through the year.”
