Why you should never return a robo call

Robo calls are pretty much unavoidable these days, but if a strange number calls you and hangs up after one ring you should definitely not call that number back. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is warning that ‘one ring’ schemes are happening more and more often. The idea is a robot scammer will call your phone and hang up after one ring, without leaving a voicemail. The hope is that you’ll call the number back– which is usually located outside of the U.S. and will incur international call charges. The FCC says shes types of calls have mostly been detected in New York and Arizona.
