A rep for Woodstock 50 confirmed that Watkins Glen was out of the picture and said the festival was “in discussions with another venue” to host the show.

The festival’s troubles began in April when ticket sales were delayed and the show’s primary financier, Dentsu Aegis, pulled its funding and announced that the event was canceled. Although a judge ruled that Dentsu did not have the right to cancel the show, it also did not have to return its money to the festival.

Then the festival’s production partner, Superfly, canceled its contract with Woodstock 50, while agents for the acts slated to perform began saying their clients were no longer obligated to show up. Organizers, led by the original festival’s co-founder Michael Lang, secured a new financial partner while working to get a permit for the concert.
