Traveling for the holiday weekend? Since the Fourth of July falls on Thursday this year, the AAA auto club expects an additional 1.9 million Americans to travel between Wednesday (July 3rd) and Sunday (July 7th) compared to last year. Thanks to commuters hitting the road, the worst time to travel is Wednesday (July 3rd) between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., local time. Over 40 million Americans will travel by car; the AAA predicts it will be the most popular form of transportation and a record high since 2000, when the group began tracking holiday travel.
