Usually if you’re sitting in the main cabin of a flight you know you’re not getting a lot of perks, but Delta Air Lines is soon changing that, at least for main cabin passengers traveling on international routes. Beginning in November, these passengers will be greeted at both the gate house and the boarding door, and then they’ll be given a hot towel service and a complimentary drink shortly after departure.
Drink choices will include Bellinis made with sparkling wine and peach puree, and passengers can also look forward to a refreshed menu that includes larger entrees with slightly fancier food choices. Meals will be served on new custom-designed dinnerware with upgraded cutlery, and dessert will be served on most flights, and will come with a choice between complimentary coffee, tea, wine, or water. There will be another hot towel service after the meal service, and passengers will also be given farewell chocolates.
