Recently footage of a young woman opening a tub of Blue Bell ice cream in a grocery store in Texas went viral, and now the fun is being ruined for everybody else. In an effort to protect ice cream from being tampered with, several stores are now taking extra security measures. They’re doing things like displaying warning signs and locking freezer doors, some even going as far as assigning security guards to their freezer departments. Similar measures were taken in 2018, after the Tide Pod challenge went viral.
