The Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham-toplining Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, brought in $180.8 million in in its opening weekend worldwide, with about $60M of that coming in from the U.S. This is the third-best opener in the F&F franchise and was right in line with expectations.
Meanwhile, Disney’s The Lion King snagged $38.2 million in its third weekend out, and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood earned $20 million in its second weekend out.
