Didn’t the new school year just begin??  Well, classes will have to wait because the Chicago Teachers Union has voted to strike September 24th through 26th.

This comes as the union has rejected Mayor Lori Lightfoot‘s proposal of a 16% raise over the span of 5 years.  The strikers hope to achieve their counter-proposal of 15% over 3 years.
