Chicago is looking for their next official Christmas Tree

Do you have an enormous spruce or fir tree that you’d love to see lit up in Millennium Park?  Let Chicago know!  The city is looking for this year’s office tree.  They want a tree that is at least 55 feet tall and within 100 miles of the Chicago Loop.  They do not want pine trees.  If you or someone you know has the perfect tree for this, you can submit it for entry by emailing [email protected] or by mail to the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, ATTN: Christmas Tree Contest, 78 E. Washington Street, Chicago, IL. 60602.

The chosen tree will of course be the center of attention at the 106th Tree Lighting Ceremony in Millennium Park on Friday, November 22nd.  The family that submits the winning tree gets to flip the switch for the event, kicking off the Christmas season in Chicago!
